David Waldman reports on disasters sweeping the nation:

Donald Trump blew his mighty wind yesterday, hereby triggering political earthquakes today. We welcome back Greg Dworkinwho survived, and helped others survive, last week’s Connecticut twisters. (They were doozies.)

Trump is trying to figure out what he got into with the Koreas, a bit late. President Moon Jae-in may be the only person on earth who can bail him out, but might be better off if he doesn’t bother.

The farm bill implodes as the House Republicans take themselves hostage to spite their own speaker. Their cunning plan includes shoving at least three guys into one leadership position. Kevin McCarthy is full of cunning plans. Ryan’s replacement needs a majority of the votes cast. A plurality isn't enough, unless you want to put some time and effort into it, and they don’t.

Now if only Republicans can just get old white voters to hold on until the next cunning plan... If it weren’t for those meddling kids registering to vote, they’d have a lock on 2018. too. Democrats stay ahead and stable, mostly and relatively.

The Trump campaign was happy to collude with non-Russians, too, because it wasn’t ideology they looking for.

And then there was Santa Fe High School. And yet another shooter contending with video games, and doors, and girls. Women seem to be the thing shooters are least equipped to handle.
