Well, our experiment with the live/tape format seems to have worked. Greg Dworkin joined the show live, for his regular morning segment, during which we rounded up Rosanne Barr news, the latest “should we call him a liar” musings, Virginia’s Medicaid expansion (alongside white racial resentment/”economic anxiety”), the rising tide under which we hope to see Trump submerged, more on California’s crazy primaries, and this weird notion millennials have that they can actually influence the world around them.

The latest twist in “fake news”: The category now includes things Trump tells interviewers on national television. Even when he also tells the same thing to Rod Rosenstein, who then does him the favor of pretending he didn’t hear him.

We were also saddened to pass on the news of the loss of good friend and longtime Kossack Sean Wang, better known as Bruinkid.

Trump offhandedly pardoned Dinesh Derpsouza. So there was that. And of course, plenty of other offhanded TrumpDerpTM: leaning on the Postmaster General to raise Amazon’s shipping rates, the 2013 genesis of his man-crush on Putin, the tantalizing (if perhaps unlikely) possibility that law enforcement hears his every word, and word from Harvard that Hurricane Maria “response” remains his greatest crime.
