David Waldman hosts today’s KITM, already the most watched show in the history of anything, and once we put up a video feed that number should double!
Donald Trump has finally got through that Nunes memo. It was only four pages, so he could do that during commercials. It might have been even shorter in the version Nunes wrote especially for him. Donald hopes to book the FBI into Gitmo with this memo, but if that’s not enough Devin is working on a few more. Each member of the house has their own investigation cooking.
Greg Dworkin gets his thoughts on the Nunes memo in quickly before who knows what happens as it all becomes more preposterous by the hour. The real aim of the Nunes Memo is of course the Mueller Investigation. The congressional leadership pledged to handle that information responsibly and without regard to politics, but this is war, at least for the Gop, who vote to avert their eyes. Trump is a typical conservative, so future conservatives will forever wear the Trump brand.
Time flies when you’re having fun, and here it is time for another shutdown. This time it’s all about DACA. Does Trump have the Democrats where he wants them? Or does President Miller have some issues too? And, the Hastert Rule could make or break a DACA deal. The United States will hit the debt limit sooner than expected because of tax cuts.
Trump's lawyers argue Mueller has not met threshold for presidential interview. Armando, who is not on Donald’s team, calls in to discuss their schemes, and to go over the future legal strategies to deal with them. Meanwhile, Mueller zeros in on a story put together about the Trump Tower meeting.
But it’s not all Donald Trump. Trey Gowdy wanted to spend more time with his family so… actually he found a steady job. The PA state Senate president said he will not turn over data about how the state's congressional map was unconstitutionally gerrymandered. Ben Carson is caught violating ethics rules to enrich his son. Haley Barbour was caught with a gun at the airport. And it looks like Hope Hicks might just do it.
A British Lord resigned for being late.
