Republicans feel like they’ll win, Democrats feel like they’ll lose, and while that will never change, the chances that both are wrong have increased recently. Democrats are finally getting more enthusiastic, and gubernatorial polling is giving them good reason to be. Of course, all of this is great news for Trump somehow. It’s not that Trump voters aren’t incapable of change, it’s just that you dying first sounds like a better idea somehow.
Sure, Ron DeSantis seems like a tough guy, but he hasn’t had the National Guard mow down any civilians yet, has he? Ohio puts a lot of states to shame, in the many ways they have found to put themselves to shame. The Ohio Constitution isn’t even a speedbump for Ohio Republicans, nor is the will of the people. Is the deadline for congressional redistricting a myth? It doesn’t matter, they can wait for a new Supreme Court, maybe longer.
