It’s Wednesday, and you know what that means! If you knew it was the day Greg Dworkin and Joan McCarter visit David Waldman for KITM, you’d be half-right. Greg couldn’t make it, as he is attending some fascinating procedural meetings having to do with his “job”, but he still rounded-up some punditry for us all.

Apparently today is also Take Your Assault Rifle to Church Day, a religious holiday important enough to close local schools. God bless the guns, but the bullets can go to hell, because everyone knows they’re dangerous.

If Ben Carson was looking to have his budget blown, he came to the wrong woman. Still, she was demoted, unaware that “$5,000 will not even buy a decent chair”. Ben has specific tastes, and that might limit his approved vendors. Next time Ben should check with the boss, he knows a place to shop.

David continues to explore the nexus of collusion between Russia and Trump’s digital election campaign. It turns out that saying provocative and outrageous statements captures peoples attention, makes distributors money and elects presidents. Paul Fuxjäger gives a… well, he cares enough and knows enough about the mechanisms behind this to warn us that our common values and democratic institutions are in danger.

Who will help Republicans out of the mess they made with the tax law? Anyone? Also, no one wants to help them throw away controls on banks. Trump’s social security budget offers more work, less staff and longer waits.

Maybe this time will be different for gun control.

Bone spurs or not, Donald Trump might be galvanized into rushing into save the Trump Hotel in Panama, or to join the celebration.
