Kagro in the Morning

Jul 20, 2022

Sometimes, you get the KITM you want. Sometimes, you get the KITM you deserve. Today, David Waldman and Greg Dworkin have a two for one deal for you:

People are still going to jail because of January 6… well actually because of their criminal actions that day. These people look uncomfortably like our neighbors, in fact. Well, with the exception of the big guy who sent them all on their crime sprees. It will take a lot to send the Donald to the Mar-a-Lago with guard towers. If anybody can do it, it will be Fulton County, Georgia, who just added Representative Jody Hice to those subpoenaed.

The Secret Service destroyed text messages they sent to each other around January 6. Officials explained that it was a perfectly innocent occurrence that happens from time to time around there…  Wait! The Secret Service reports they have located exactly one message and forwarded it right over to the January 6 Committee.

The horse race in Britain has become a dance off with either Rishi Sunak or Liz Truss as the next UK Prime Minister. Finally! Now one of them can take care of that heat wave over there

Over here, heat wave or red wave, it’s the Democrat’s fault. The midterms are all their fault, including any Republicans running, especially them. Trump-backed Dan Cox will win his primary, probably because Dems, as will Trump-backed David Farnsworth in Arizona. A Senate candidate with two aliases accused of making child trafficking allegations, is running in Maryland... and who would have ever heard of the Republican running for Governor in Michigan if it wasn’t for his FBI record? Democrats thought Herschel Walker was going to be a pushover but then came his long-awaited pivot.

The courtroom filled with tears as witnesses testified about the students slaughtered in the gun massacre in Parkland, Florida’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School — one of the schools with mass-shooting murders of students before the mass-shooting murders at Uvalde, Texas’ Robb Elementary School. The man in the Galleria Mall in Houston, Texas had an AR-15 with 120 rounds of ammo but was arrested before anyone could find out whether he was a gunman, or only a “gun man”. Perhaps he was recently robbed, and was over at the mall hunting down the perp. In Denver, Colorado, police may have seen a gun pointed their way, and therefore fired into a crowd, injuring 6. You never know, one of those people probably was armed.
