Doesn’t today feel like a Friday? David Waldman thinks so and prepares us for the weekend, although in the back of his head David’s preparing for his upcoming vacation week swimming with the pigs off Little Exuma... which reminded him of the sixth largest island in the Hawaiian archipelago, colloquially known as “Pineapple Island”, Lana’i. Did you know that “Lanai” is an architectural feature, prominent in southern states, a sort of a patio with a roof, or an unenclosed porch? That reminded David of… Say, this does feel like a Friday, doesn't it? Anyhow, David was reminded of that Florida man and his wife lighting up the pool boy with thirty AR-15 rounds when he turned up late one night. That dude sure messed with the wrong lanai.
Where were we? Oh yes, the Supreme Court. They saved America for Asian Americans yesterday by routing a new generation of Black people into the Armed Forces and the prison system. Clarence Thomas finally got to win that argument he had back in college, just to have fellow Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson “OK Boomer” him. This could encourage more people to read up on Black History, but what college is going to teach it to them? Then again, who can afford to go? Then SCOTUS cut LGBTQ protections in favor of religious liberties. Really, the weekend can’t come soon enough for those guys.
