Vladimir Putin is in over his head, the Russian army is spread thin, sanctions are coming in all directions and are already biting in. Putin’s even lost his side job at the International Judo Federation. Unfortunately, none of this is fast enough or forceful enough to make enough of a difference to millions of Ukrainians. French President Emmanuel Macron called the invasion a turning point in the history of Europe, as it definitely was a turning point in Macron’s re-election polling. Putin may be the best thing that ever happened to the NATO alliance.
