Ok, so that’s over. Yesterday, Mr. Unity shat on Democrats to entertain some news anchors, stepped on Nancy Pelosi’s opening, then spent a couple hours being stupid on purpose. Donald Trump slurred through words never before heard in a SOTU, but still somehow didn’t address immigrant child separation, saving education, the Crimean annexation, his Kanye West collaboration, mind deterioration, finger elongation, or corrupt administration... but hey, forget about any investigation. Donald didn’t get the applause he expected, got some applause he didn’t understand, and then Nancy Pelosi gave him a cookie and he got to go back to his executive time.
Now Stacey Abrams, that was a great response. Just about everybody liked it, even David Waldman, mostly, but he’s a tough audience. A lot of people will become a tougher Trump audience after they see this year’s tax refund. Most of America's riches are owned by people who didn't work for them. McClatchy’s CEO was paid a couple million this year, but needed $35K a month for a stipend.
